Frequently Asked Questions
What types of events can I host?
We host a wide variety of private events including birthday parties, corporate events, rehearsal dinners, work happy hours, engagement parties, and baby showers. Have something else in mind? Reach out — we’re happy to discuss it.
How far in advance do I need to book?
All private events must be booked at least three weeks (21 days) in advance. You can check availability and submit your request using the calendar below.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy?
A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your date, but it is not due until two weeks before your event. The Mezzanine deposit is $300 ($250 applied to your drink tab, $50 as bar gratuity). The Beer Garden deposit is $500 ($375 toward your drink tab, $75 as bar gratuity, and $50 as a rental fee). All deposits are non-refundable.
Is there a minimum guest count or minimum spend?
There is no minimum guest count. Your deposit covers the minimum drink spend ($250 for the Mezzanine, $375 for the Beer Garden), so the deposit is effectively the cost to reserve the space. Any additional drinks or catering are charged separately on the day of your event.
Can we bring outside food or drinks?
All catering must go through our in-house kitchen partner,
Troublemakers Cocina. Outside catering is not permitted. However, outside desserts — such as cakes or cupcakes — are welcome, as Troublemakers does not offer them.
Can we bring decorations?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring decorations and set up a display. We just ask that you avoid confetti and helium balloons, and please remove all decorations at the end of your event.
Can we have a DJ or set up speakers?
You’re welcome to bring your own DJ or set up a speaker/PA system in the Beer Garden. For indoor amplified music, a full building buyout is required — email us at
mkeinfo@centralwaters.com if you’re interested.
Is the Mezzanine ADA accessible?
Unfortunately, the Mezzanine is not ADA accessible. It is located in a historic building and can only be reached by stairs through the bell tower. The Beer Garden is at ground level and fully accessible through the gate on 11th Street.
What happens if it rains during a Beer Garden event?
The Beer Garden is a partially covered outdoor space. In the event of inclement weather, the Mezzanine can serve as an indoor backup. We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to move your event indoors so we can prepare with proper staffing and setup.
Where can guests park?
Street parking is available in the surrounding area, and there is a brewery parking structure located two blocks away. We encourage guests to plan ahead and consider ride-sharing as an alternative to driving.
Can we visit the space before booking?
Absolutely — we encourage it! Stop by during normal taproom hours to check out the spaces. No appointment needed, and we’d love for you to try some of our beers while you’re here.
Are children allowed?
Yes, we are an all-ages facility. Alcohol may only be served to guests of legal drinking age, and no illegal substances are permitted. We ask that children remain under adult supervision and refrain from running through the taproom. We welcome families, though we’d describe this as more of a brewery environment than a kid-centric space.
Catering is available for both spaces through
Trouble Makers Cocina, conveniently located in-house.
