Central Waters Brewing Co. (“Central Waters,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to centralwaters.com and to the Hit The Trail Sweepstakes entry form.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you enter the Hit The Trail Sweepstakes, we collect your first and last name and your email address. If you check the newsletter box, we also record that you consented to receive marketing email, along with the date and time of that consent. If you win, we may additionally collect your mailing address, date of birth or proof of age.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21 years of age. If you believe we have collected information from someone under 21, contact us at info@centralwaters.com and we will delete it.

How We Use Your Information

• To administer the Hit The Trail Sweepstakes, including selecting and notifying winners and fulfilling prizes
• To comply with tax, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations related to the sweepstakes
• To send you marketing email about Central Waters news, releases, and events only if you affirmatively opted in
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website
• To respond to your questions and requests
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms

Entering the sweepstakes does not subscribe you to our email list. Newsletter subscription is a separate, optional choice, and declining it has no effect on your entry.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

We share information only as follows:

• Service providers. Companies that perform services on our behalf website hosting, form processing, email delivery, and prize fulfillment and that are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
• Promotional partners. If you win, we may share your name and shipping details with the Ice Age Trail Alliance solely to fulfill the prize.
• Winner announcements. Except where prohibited by law, we may publish a winner’s name and city and state of residence as described in the Official Rules.
• Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as a business asset.

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when they are being sent; some parts of the site may not function properly if you do. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals at this time.

Your Choices and Rights

Email. You can unsubscribe from our marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any message, or by emailing info@centralwaters.com. We will continue to send you messages necessary to administer the sweepstakes if you have entered it.

Access, correction, and deletion. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@centralwaters.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request, and we may retain information where we have a legal obligation or legitimate business reason to do so, for example, sweepstakes and tax records.

Data Retention

We retain sweepstakes entry information for 90 days after the end of the entry period, or longer where required for tax, legal, or recordkeeping purposes. If you subscribed to our newsletter, we retain your email address until you unsubscribe.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by posting a prominent notice on our website or, where appropriate, by email.
