Job Title:  Laboratory Manager
Position Type:  Full-time, hourly
Location:  Amherst, WI

Job Description / Responsibilities:
 Oversee laboratory and all quality operations
 Packaging analysis, including but not limited to DO, CO2, pressure, and overall packaging integrity
 Daily microbiological sampling, plating, and analysis, including plating, use of differential media, colony
identification and characterization, and real time PCR
 Independently and proactively initiate, manage, document and present projects to improve quality/consistency
and brewery processes
 Assist with daily fermentation monitoring
 Maintain calibration and proper operation of laboratory equipment, ensure accuracy and reliability of
measurements, and refine SOPs
 Identify, troubleshoot, and document real-time quality issues in a fast-paced environment
 Oversee barrel aging program
 Review current, and create and implement SOPs as needed
 Other duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable science (preferred)
 Great work ethic, must be able to work unsupervised
 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
 Willingness to learn
 Ability to multitask effectively

40 hrs. / week, full benefit package
